BRR! What a chilly start to December we’ve had! We met up with the Root family last weekend to take some photos before the end of the year. We had a grand plan- we were going to go to the Levis Commons Shopping Center and capture some shots with all of the Christmas decorations. You know, catch the hustle and bustle of the crowd and freeze the blessed feeling for all of eternity. That was the plan…Mother Nature? She doesn’t so much care for plans. It was VERY cold and a bit windy. The chill cut to the bone! Pair the cold temps with 3 small children, and you get…well, you get what you get! I think we were able to snag a few good shots…I hope to see the Root family again (but when it’s warm and sunny outside!)

The Schanke Family
Pearson Park is pretty even now, when most of the leaves have hit the ground and winter is rapidly approaching. Of course, even a so-so background becomes sparkling when a beautiful family like the Schankes visit for their fall photos! Here are a few from a recent session with the family – the rest should be up very, very soon!

Monroe HS 2010 Seniors: Kyle & Paul
What a crazy November! It was cold for about a week, but ever since, we’ve been blessed with such a beautiful fall! The warm weather has been wonderful for outdoor photos, and Jason and I were so lucky to be able to sneak in another (what might be the last for 2009?) senior photo session last weekend. This session was extra special; we got to meet two great guys and their wonderful mom. Well, it was Kyle’s mom, but Paul lives with them, too. They are great friends, obviously great athletes, and you can tell that mom loves them lots! I hope you like the photos, because we sure had lots of fun that day!
Ok, so this last one was just for fun…but I just couldn’t resist when I saw them both in their half dress/half casual outfits. Too funny!
Thanks, guys, for being such great sports throughout the day. Jason and I really had fun, and we hope that you love your photos!

Milnar Family
On Halloween, the Milnar Family met Jason and I at Sidecut Park in Maumee for some family photos. They weren’t scared away by the cold…no way! They even brought the kids’ costumes along for the fun. The boys dressed up as little devils for Trick-or-Treating this year. Apparently, according to mom, the costumes aren’t much of a stretch.
They weren’t devils for us, though! Well, at least they weren’t while they were sitting still! Here are a few of my personal favorites from the day. I hope that you find them spooktactular as well! (Ok, so I’m not so good with the jokes, but I try.) I promise, the rest of the set will be up for your viewing pleasure soon!

Victoria – Whitmer HS Senior 2010
What a gorgeous fall we are having! With the fall colors nearly at their peak, Jason and I met up with Victoria, a Whitmer HS Senior last weekend at Wildwood Metropark to shoot her senior portfolio. Gorgeous colors, gorgeous weather, and a gorgeous senior made for some spectacular photos. Victoria brought her best friend and her nephew along for the ride…here are a few faves!

Sarah & Reese – Mini Session
Even though it’s practically winter now (though, I’m not nearly ready for it), I dug through some summer pics and uncovered these gems. I almost forgot the mini session that I did for my sister and niece on Labor Day weekend at Mon Ami in Port Clinton. Here are some of my favorites from that WARM day…it seems like just yesterday!

Ian – Monroe HS Senior 2010
Ooohhh! Ladies – watch out for this one! Jason and I met Ian last weekend at Toledo Beach Marina in Luna Pier, MI, to take some senior photos. Ian is a senior this year at Monroe High School. He plays basketball for the Trojans, and we’re getting together again this weekend to capture some sports shots. Take a quick peek at a few of his “formals” from this recent session; the whole gallery isn’t ready quite yet, but from the few that I’ve edited so far, all I have to say is…smokin’! Thanks, Ian, for letting me pick on you so much!

Chris- Start HS 2009 Senior
This weekend was dreary and dark, but last weekend, I was able to help out Tonia and her son Chris with some belated Senior photos. Chris graduated from Start HS this year, and to appease his mom, agreed to have his portrait done. I explained to Chris that most adult men have to take pictures for other women at least twice…once as a high school senior for mom, and then once on their wedding day for their wife. One down! Chris was very willing to try anything – even standing in some weeds and fighting off the last of this season’s bees! It was a pleasure working with him! Here are a few shots that I think will give a good idea of just how great his session was. I hope you like them!
